Does using an electric blanket (allnightversion) mess up the body's own heat regulating system....would you burn less calories by sleeping in a heated bed rather than in a non-heated bed...does the body automatically burn fat to heat itself up when it gets cold?

Someone bought me a 'little' square fleecy covered electric blanket which is so nice to cuddle up to, especially if you have a tummy ache.

However, I wouldn't like to use a large one that you lay on, as I always think of all those unhealthy little bed bugs that might be hibernating in it, although the heat would probably knock them out! As for the 'burning fat' side of it, I wouldn't know. Sleep tight!
