We went of for a meal last night, as you may know, to which my mum had told me to pay.

Because My nan and grandad were there aswell, my mum graciously ofered to split it half and half with me, so paid with £50 of cash (which she'd probably withdrawn from my account), and the rest with her debit card.

What can I do?

I posted this on cb as more people come on this section, but it's a serious question.

What can i do about my mum using my money, when she has access to my account which has far more money than hers. She probably reguarly uses it, as she has a rubbish credit rating so can't get a credit card and has hardly any money in her account, as she hardly ever works.
Sue her.
Phone Childline.
Move out and into your own place.
i assume it was your mother who gave you "your" money in the first place?
Call the bank and ask for a statement then you will know if she is using 'your' money or not! Simples

squarebear, my mum and dad rarely give me money, the funds in that account are from what i've inheritted or been given as birthday or christmas money. And non of their money has gone into that account.

Greddyfly, I don't know any of the details of that account, the only things I know to do with it are my name, address and d.o.b.
How does she have access to your account? Does she know your PIN?
Change your PIN number and any passwords.
She really shouldn't be doing this without your permission.
Find them... I am sure they are just in the house. Or just give up and accept that if your mother is spending 'your' money there isn't much you can do about it.
If you don't know any details of the account, how do you know she is taking money from it?
'Phone the Police.
Get the Fraud Squad involved.

It doesn't have a pin I don't think. It's some kind of savings account, with a book. She probably does put the money back when she next gets a job, but it's the principle and I don't know if she does or not.

I don't have access to this account until i'm 18, I think. It could be 16 and she's not given it me yet, I don't know.
how many times now have you been told to go to the bank and ask what type of account you hold. If you should be the one with access them change accounts and move the money.

Plus I'd already gotten dad a fathersday card and present.
And ahe won't be able to get to the bank to withdraw it....yeah, break her kneecaps. Do you want a number?
" I don't know if she does or not. "

Seems a pretty serious accusation if you don't even know whether she takes your money!
Yeah but no but yeah but no but yeah but no but yeah but no but yeah but no but....
Question Author
I don't know any of the details of the account so they aren't just gonna tell me all about it and how much it's got in it, they could think i'm just some random person who knows my personal details and is trying to get my money, and I don't know where the book or anything is so i can't take that as proof.
