OH's feet are covered in massive blisters. He's tempted to pop them but I said he shouldn't. Wouldn't they be worse if he popped them?

Ummmm....nice to see you back.....have missed you.

Yes, pop the blisters, but make sure the foot is clean and so are your hands, sterile needle.....no big deal.
Ummm - how was Glastonbury? I assume all the dancing is responsible for ginge's blisters?!!
Pop them as Sqad says and then cover with a dressing so nothing rubs on them for a day or two. It is so painful if you don't pop them and he won't be able to walk. I have always popped my blisters.

Sqad, whilst you are about, I fell over in the garden the other morning (at 6.00am and fell over a flower bed and a bamboo cane pierced my leg and broke (the cane not my leg!) I think a bit of it is still in my leg and the hole is quite deep. I've been putting antibiotic ointment on it. Question is will the bit of wood work it's way out or should I go and visit the nurse?

Ta.
oooh, let me at him - popping blisters and squeezing spots, two of lifes pleasures :)

Hello Sqad :-) He's soaking his feet at the moment in a mild detol solution. I will tell him to pop then when he's scrubbed his hands.....thanks.

Salla....It was great but his blisters have nothing to do with dancing. I think I seen him dance just the once. He's lazy and carried a chair around with him everywhere.

ethandron......he's the same.
Lofty....garden (spores) deep wound (spores) ? FB (spores)

Go to the Dr as you will need anti tetanus and if there is any question if a bit left in, it will need removing.

Be careful.
Sounds like Mr LL. I get up and push to the front of the stage and he sits down somewhere at the back with the food and drink. I have found myself some great dancing 'partners' that way. After the event I collect him and home we go!!

Ouch Lofty...
I'll go down tomorrow. Thanks Sqad x

(I expected a No Big Deal :o( )
I've neglected garden wounds before LL - thinking it was trivial. To my regret.... It's all those nasty germs that lurk in the soil. Get thee to a docs my girl x
lofty...anything to do with you IS a big deal to me ;-)

Awwwwwwwww
Feel the love =)
Ahhh, I've come over all of a dither now Sqad.

Salla/Sqad. I've been using fucidin ointment which I had for something else. Hopefully it is helping to kill off the nasty bugs. There is no sign of any infection yet. I will go to the surgery tomorrow though.
It is radiating off the two of them...... ;-)
LOL

Whoever would have imagined .........................
I cut my foot in the garden last year and went to A&E for dressing and asked for an anti tetanus shot. The doctor who saw me thought I was wasting his time as he didn't think tetanus was an issue in UK. I insisted and fortunately the attending nurse told him it should be routine. So much for overseas doctors.
I wouldn't say Tetanus was common in Norfolk but it's incident rater is higher than in most other counties in the UK. Last time I had a jab I was ill and reacted badly and was told that in future if I had another one there had to be a doctor on standby. It has sort of put me off somewhat!!!
