Are You Turning Into Your Mum/Dad?

A definite yes on this one, but the sad thing is I had never really noticed, until my family came to lunch last Sunday.I had been feeling pretty ferocious at something before they came. However ,a happy lunch was had ,and I went into the kitchen to do the washing up

After a little while my sons came into the kitchen , laughing and the asked me what was wrong.I replied that nothing was wrong as I hurled the dishcloth into the sink.

I said that there was nothing wrong , and they said why are you behaving like Gran used to do.
I remembered then that when my Mum was angry and upset everything in the kitchen would get a battering , pans ,cutlery and so on., and my Dad would head for his garden shed.
Apparently both my sons, in the gardenat the time ,had heard me crashing things about and came in to investigate.

I never realised how like mum I am until then.Scary or what ???

I have realised that I am morphing into my mother. I hear myself saying things to the children that she used to say to us. Even worse, I hear myself saying things to the OH in the same way that she will talk to my dad!

The day I say "We are never having another effing Christmas in this house" (that speech is a famous one which arises every blummin Christmas) I shall know that my transformation is complete.

More and more every day I catch myself doing mammy-like things and I just sound exactly like her when I lose the run of myself.. funny really!! :) But when its comes down to it, I'm proud to be like her, she's a wonderful woman, as I'm sure all of your mams are too :)
