painful periods

my daughter is just 12 she has been having periods for the last 6 mths and she has been totally regular and had no problems but they seem to be getting gradually more painful for her and she was crying her eyes out this morning and is now still in bed as she was awake last night with them!!!!! I remember this well as i was the same when younger and once fainted the pain was that bad!!!! is there any natural suppliments she could take as she is very young to be filling up with powerful painkillers!!!!! shes of medium build and is very fit :) any advice would be great xxx

no worries supersuezy it is horrible bless her!!!! considering i used to get them really bad too i had my daughter and then after went straight on the pill injection which took mine away completely (which I loved) I came off of the injections a few mths before her periods started so i could give her a bit of support for when it happened lol and mine came back but not as bad as they used to be and i rarely take tablets for it so hopefully they will sort out for her!!! xxxxxx

It's horrible for her going through such pain with them especially as she is still quite young at 12 years old.
I was going to suggest the pill but I think at 12 that maybe it's too much too soon if that makes sense? It's a pity because it does ease the pain so much.. I really feel for her going through this at such a young age as I would be in tears with the pain, was like someone was slicing my belly up :(
My mam used to get quite upset when she would see me so bad as she never got pain at all!! I know it's not cold out this time of year but a hot water bottle does ease the pain too.
