What is the 'pinching' feeling which sometimes happens when people spray deodorant onto their armpits?

I would suggest that if the area has been shaved then the deodoant would get into the hair follicle therefore causing a pinching feeling!

Check to see if it's only deodorant or if it contains antiperspirant. Antiperspirants block sweat glands with chemicals - possibly explaning the pinching sensation.
