okay i thought this would be quite interesting..i've read up quite a bit about the MALE BODY LANGUAGE and trying to decipher whether a guy is interested without him actually saying so...what are all your thoughts and what in your opinion are sure fire signs that he's interested lol this is especially problematic with the shy blokes lol but lets see what all you ladies out there have come across...

I'd love to start reading about body language, and will do so when the cranks drop it as a pet project and science has a go...All this **** you hear on telly about it....'he's got his arms crossed, so he's obviously clamming up'.
I'd tread very carefully among the dross.

yea the whole arms crossed thing is a bit old now...i have my arms crossed very often but has anyone ever thought that perhaps some people just find it comfortable lol....or theyre COLD hehehehe..i think body language needs to be read in context but I have read some interesting things about MIRRORING...where the person who fancies you subconciously looks at their watch when you do or mirrors your gestures or even conciously does a lot of what you do to create an environment of SEE HOW ALIKE WE ARE WE BELONG TOGETHER lol...any other thoughts?
I think, men look at the lips of the girl they fancy - thinking what they'd be like to kiss. I know I certainly do it with guys lips! x x x
Mirroring, hmm. This may be because you relax your inhibitions. Every goal directed-ish action that you witness another doing, is then "repeated" by you, it would take the form of a corresponding action, except that the front of your brain intervenes. If you have a severe accident that damages this bit of your brain, a possible side effect is copying-gone-out-of-control. Just found that very odd and thought I'd share it with you....
eye contact has to be the most powerful message .number of times and length of each episode  are both important.
I went up to a lass with legs crossed with inner thigh shown towards me and cigarette in her hand with inner wrist facing me. According to my Psychology lecturer this was a dead cert... know what.. it wasn't! don't believe in it!
I think there's a lot of truth in body language if its read correctly but it's becoming fashionable to attach too much weight to it at the moment. One sign in isolation doesn't tell you too much.
As for looking at the *lips* of a girl I fancy? Is it just me that's tempted to lower the tone here?
I've just watched a Halle Berry film and I could swear that I didn't spend the whole film looking at her lips

hehehe it's been interesting reading all your views....think on this tho: what about a guy/girl who avoids all eye contact...that could be a sure sign too lol...i guess wot has spurred all this on is my little.......okay MASSIVE infatuation with a particular bloke at university....he's too random to go into detail lol but i'll def be looking out for the DILATED PUPILS hehehehe x
Reminds me of a very old joke:

Why do men find it difficult to make eye contact?
Breasts don't have eyes.

Ask the guy out - he'll be over the moon. At worst, ask a mutual friend if he's interested.
