The last time someone told me it would be uncomfortable it bloody hurt..!!!
Wuss.... ;oP
Don't be mean, guys.

It does NOT hurt.

I asked about getting my implant out. Got loads of 'it don't hurt' answers. When it came to it they couldn't get it out. They had to cut me :-(
It's the second nicest thing you can do lying down. It doesn't hurt and you come away feeling that you've done a good deed.
if you have a needle phobia, dont look. I pinch my leg so my brain concentrates on that pain, that I can control by releasing the pinch....(mind of matter).
Question Author
I'm not scared of needles luckily...

Just finishing my coffee and then I'm off...
After I'd given for the 3rd time they told me not to bother any more......I always used to pass out as soon as I stood up.
Last time I donated a few weeks ago I promise I didn't even feel the needle going in. He had tied the pressure monitor quite tight around my arm so that was a tad uncomfortable but no actual pain. I would advise making sure you drink plenty of water in the hours before you go and be nice and warm or it could make it harder for them to find a vein, as has happened to me a few times.
I tried it once - we never even got as far as the needle in my arm. She pricked my finger and I passed out.
"Does it hurt?"

More uncomfortable than painful; painful when they cannot find the vein and have to be poking both arms. They do this to me all the time and each time I always say to myself "this is my last donation".
The "finger prick" used to be the worst bit ... when they used to slice the side of your finger with that little blade thing.

Now, they use a funny little pricky device, and you don't even know it's happened.

It was fine. Not even uncomfortable. I didn't have time to wait about afterwards because my time was running out on the parking meter. Drank a juice, grabbed a chocolate bar and left the building.

Felt like I'd smoked a cigarette after not smoking for a few days..
Good for you Ummm.

Sometimes I feel a bit dizzy and wait around for a while or call a taxi.

I was fine after the walk back to the car.

That's my good deed done for the day. I now have a license to be a bitch..!!
