do you believe in past lives ... ?

growing up I believed in everything remotely supernatural - but unfortunately as I have gotton older the 'belief' has given way to facts and evidence .... i would love to believe i had a past life as i am completely in love with history, historic buildings, the 'old way' of life etc .... does any one have any thoughts? experiences? i am looking into past life regression (just to satisfy my own queries)

or is it all a bunch of hocus pocus whereby we have picked up information sub-conciously and managed to concoct a very (convincing) story ?

I was regressed several years ago. I could see myself as young man working on a farm in the USA. I even saw a barn dance where i danced with a girl,i heard the music in my head,fiddles guitars and mouth organs. It was very real to me.

I believe when you die you spirit goes through a learning curb. Depending on how you die depends on how you develop in the spirit world.
For example an unexpected death or a suicide means you have unfinished buisiness on the life you lived on earth So spirit still feels drawn to that life and is earthbound and cannot move on.
Once spirit accepts why they are in spirit world and goes through all the experiences about their earthly life and accept what lessons they learn, people grow stronger in spirit and have the gift of manifistation, or to be reborn as in reincarnation.
Also a choice to stay as they are and be that one particular soul forever guiding their loved ones and future blood connections throughout their life on earth.

I agree to the point that celebs always claim rather extravagant past lives - but in pieces i have read on internet, papers, books etc - 'normal' people that have been regressed have led very normal (sometimes difficult) times. I dont feel that I have been anyone of royal descent or anything (but wouldnt mind) but I have definitely walked into places and just had an overwhelming emotional reaction and a feeling that I have been there before... Im curious - and definitely would like to look into it more..

I have heard that if you are pressed for fact about something you have no knowledge of under hypnosis you're highly likely to make something up.

Then later you come to believe that with incredible certainty.

I'm no expert in hypnosis but it certainly sounds plausible and would explain a great deal about people's past lives

See Im not sure - I have been hypnotised many times before and its basically a case of whatever you say you are totally aware of; therefore, if you make something up whilst being hypnotised you will know this when sessions completed. all hypnosis does is open your mind and help you remember things - not put false things in it.

Ultiamtely if a hypnotherapist asked me a question and i didnt know the answer I would just say so .. although I appreciate the fact (similar to mediums) that people will make things up as they want to believe in it so much. But i would like to think I am not in that category - i.e Id like to think its true but I am also sceptical
