Hi everyone.
I don't remember doing anything in particular this morning that would've caused this, but I have a really nasty pain at the front of my thigh (not quite into the groin but quite close). It's a dull ache when I am sitting down but when I try and raise my leg or walk, it is excruciatingly painful-enough to make me actually cry out. I have taken ibuprofen and iced it but neither helped.
Could it be a tendon/muscle strain? Any ideas on this would be very welcome!
Thanks,
Maz
Hi Sqad-it's still really sore but I will keep up the ibuprofen. I work for a chiropractor so if it's still bad tomorrow, I'll get her to have a look at it.
Many thanks for your reply.
Hi Mazzywoo have you done some kind of exercise, maybe cycling , heavy lifting, within the lasr 48 hrs from when the pain started, this is usually the cause of strain.
Try to rest it a little but not so it siezes up, do things in stages rather than all at once so it gets better not worse, hope it gets better soon.
Thanks for your replies Sqad and 123 John. The pain has eased somewhat today and I find that I am able to move the leg without wincing too much! I did do a lot of extra exercise last week (we had our grandchildren staying) so maybe that had something to do with it LOL. The ibuprofen is keeping the worst of it at bay and I coped at work ok today-hopefully it's on the mend now!
Cheers guys
Best wishes, Maz
