But at least you will have tried them. Try the cheaper ones first I would say!! Can't say anything about your specific problem though. As for scarlett's view, I know there are plenty of drugs with side effects but you have to make an educated decision on the balance of beneficial and unwanted effects. And I know there are drugs like antibiotics which now we are seeing problems as a result of over-prescribing - but doctors were only doing then what they thought was best. they are trying to remedy this now. The vast majority of doctors do genuinely want to help, and if you think yours is being unhelpful or won't discuss side effects with you, then you should change GPs.
Anyway back to Smadge - yes go for it why not. It is unlikely to make you worse - but remember, some alternative therapies still have side effects or counter-indications and often are still chemicals that you are putting in or on your body.
