chap stick always works pretty well for me. and my cousin is perminatly with cracked lips but she uses this beewax stuff i think it is. its in a yellow tube with a red top to it. she swears by the stuff.
Carmex is very good.Don't lick your lips-that makes them worse.
Would vasaline (sp?) help?

What you need is a barrier, surely?
Try nipple cream - it's meant for breastfeeding to stop your nipples getting cracked and sore, but it works a treat on chapped lips too!
I put cabbage leaves on my nipples when they cracked when breastfeeding- dont recommend that for chapped lips though :-)
It'd look a bit weird Boo :)
Bet it stops the chapped lips though :P
Blist-eze is good but you need to apply frequently. The cold weather doesn't help. Also try vaseline at night
cymex is very good with its triple action formula!
good old fashioned vaseline or any pertroliam jelly cream
Aloe Vera Vaseline - you get it in the little round tub - works a treat, but keep applying it as often as you can, and put lots on!

Ok when I get chapped lips I use a combination of the following products. These products actually hydrate your lips, therefore remoisturising them, rather than just creating a barrier to stop them getting any worse (which most lipbalms do).

For immediate relief of the uncomfortableness, use this Blistex Intensive Moisturiser:

Then to heal them put Blistex Relief Cream on (a good thick layer) before going to bed:

Most mornings my lips are near enough back to normal after this, but I keep applying the intensive moisturiser through the day to keep them moist.

(And no I don't work for Blistex, we just think their products are great!)
