strombolise or something?????

just had an aunt of mine on the phone to tell me her sister is in hospital having had two clots near/on her lung removed/dispersed by a procedure called 'strombolising' or something like that.
i have no idea what she was talking about, anyone able to enlighten me please?

thanks mamy, should have realised it was 'thrombo' and not 'strombo'. my aunt was a bit confused about what had happened and what they're doing to treat her sister, poor old duck.

doctor dear, it's the chase which is the exciting bit...
Eth......the matron of the hospital in which I qualified had a flat at the top of the hospital and the Chairman of the Board of Governors was "knocking her off"

This was a hospital series on TV some months ago !!!
