How long does Plantar Fasciitis last for

It been well over 6 months the pain is awful and can hardly walk, i cant take iburofen as i have a allergy to them. Have tried the ice packs, excersising the foot, still waiting for appointment for physio. Used a insole but still having problems walking.

Hi honky-tonk, where did you get your insole from? I know a couple of people with this condition, they had tried insoles that didn't work, but then found one from Cosyfeet that made a huge difference, both were sceptical that it would work, but were amazed when it did provide a lot of relief.
Its a neoprene one, around £20, but seems like its worth it (btw i don't work for Cosyfeet!)

A friend of mine suffered for months with PF and in the end only found comfort wearing Fit Flops, they do boots as well. These are a bit pricey but maybe you could see a podiatrist and get the correct type of insole.
Also, she said to do the stretching exercises before geting out of bed was the most beneficial. Good luck.
