Blood test - need a ridiculous reason for it.

I have to go for a blood test in the morning. It's only to make doubly sure that my symptoms are indeed due to menopause and nothing like thyroid before the doc starts treatment.

Thing is, the daft, nosy little twits at work will want to know what for and I don't feel inclined to tell them as it's really none of their business. So I want to give them a ridiculous reason for it just so's I can watch their stupid faces whilst they try to figure it out and then become too embarassed to ask any more (yes, I'm mean that way).

So what unlikely reasons would I have to be going for a blood test? Something a reasonably clean-living, heterosexual, married, menopausal woman would be highly unlikely to have.

Rabies :-)
to check your enzyme levels?
Parvo Virus or FIV (cat AIDS), distemper or Bubonic plague.
It's awful when you work with people who want to know all your business. I can sympathise saxyjag. I used to work with people like that too - I'm a fairly private person and I just can't understand it. I know this doesn't sound uch, but one girl used to come over EVERY SINGLE DAY and look over my shouldder as I was getting my lunch box out and say "What have you got today then". It drove me mad! In the end I snapped at her and said something like snot on toast. I'd either tell them it's a pregnancy test, or better still, say nothing. That will annoy them more.
tell them they are checking your midiclorean level in case you are a Jedi.
Tell them you like to get regular drug tests cos you're usually so pi$$ed you can't remember if you had a joint or not.
In case you are The Duke of Edinburgh's secret love child
Ebola or Dengue fever would certainly require a blood test.
just tell 'em you're having Prostrate probs ( you keep wanting to lie down)
