How does the body break down cholesterol and how and in what form does the body get rid of it?

I didn`t think it did. I thought it produced cholesterol when processing saturated fat but I might be wrong.

Well, we are being encouraged to lower our cholesterol levels and mine is pretty high so I wondered how the drugs and Benecol products bring the level down.
