Hi,
I have had the flu and am still coughing, very mucousy and run down and it's been 2 weeks now. All the websites say to visit my GP if symptoms persist beyond 2 weeks. But I have heard similar stories of people having this long lasting virus. I am not getting any worse, just better very slowly.

Should I go to my GP or give it a few more days? What can the GP do? I just have lack of energy, dimished appetite and mucousy cough.

jedi, go and see your local pharmacist if you don't want to go to the GP yet - they are highly qualified to give advice and may be able to recommend some over-the-counter treatment to help the cough. Flu does take a couple of weeks to get over the lethargy feeling - I find that a course of Metatone tonic helps reinstate me after this sort of thing. I hope you feel better soon.
jedi........flu takes time........if you do not have a temperature give it another week.
