Are you in pain?

I'm in pain,taken a couple of Paracetamol waiting for em to kick in. Its all so stupid really, having a shower and ran out of shower gel, a new one on top shelf of shower cubical, reached up for it, It slips out of my hand & crashes down on my right big toe. (I swore) considering the hight it fell from and it being a large full bottle it was like someone hitting my toe with a 3lb hammer.
Hit right on the toenail and its now swelling and turning purple and throbbing like hell.

Are you in pain right now? what is causing yours?

I do appear rather accident prone from those posts Ummmm. However, that's all there has been so I won't relate any more. Hope you didn't feel too queasy - I know I did!

Poor you Andrew! I have had a car door slammed om thumb (another nail gone west), stabbed a garden fork right through my big toe and stapled my foot to the lawn, chopped the top off my thumb, tried to saw the back of my hand, put my hand through 3 thicknesses of glass at the same time, parked a camper van on my foot (for far too long) fallen from the loft and from several ladders etc., etc., etc. However, I have never had to have a stich, anti tetanus or anything put into plaster despite several visits to my local A & E. (Nor am I accident prone ☺)

Do you have any neat spirits in the house jack? Try and hold some brandy or what ever you have, in your mouth to cover the tooth that is bothering you for as long as possible. It does numb the area quite effectively

Tripped and fell downstairs once, smashed my toes into the bannister broke two of them, on one the two the bones had broken through the skin, bashed my thumb on the way down as well. Anyway it was a Sunday morning and I had a kids coaching session at the ice rink (ice hockey coach) Got someone to tie my skates for me squeezed on my glove and did the two hour session on ice. At the end of the session I had to have someone pull my glove off and when my wife undid my skate my sock and foot was covered in blood.....ended up at casualty after that but the kids didn't miss their coaching session..

1974, I remember it well,........whilst throwing some lengths of wood into a skip a four inch nail slid right through my middle finger and I had to hold it in my arms in the ambulance for 4 miles to hospital, where the A/E doctor had to bend the nail with pliers, which by now was rather painful as my finger had come back to life, and then slide my finger away from the rusty nail, and it was only then......... I fainted.

Sorry for not getting back to you all earlier I've been at the hospital most of the day
(another story) You all have been through it, some nice and Nasty stories there thanks for sharing, I've been limping about all day being as my shoe presses on my poor toe but also it is a lot easier. For what some of you have been through I feel a baby but at the time I was feeling sorry for myself.

Hi Jem, I hope you are feeling less sore now. I have to go to be measured for Radiotherapy to my hip in the morning, and I hope that will give me another year.
