Sorry it's me again.
Which is stronger or are they the same?
Tramadol 50mg taken 4 a day
or
Dihydrocodeine 30mg taken 4 a day
Or is it something I need to ask a pharmacist?
Thank you.
both have opiate effects but Tramadol also works in other ways both are classed as suitable for mild to moderate pain Tramadol is more likely to cause nausea, dihydrocodeine is more likely to cause constipation try googling 'analgesia ladder' there are a few that arrange painkillers in a heirarchy
hi l would say they are totally diffrent types of painkilling tablets dihydrocodeine is codiene based very addictive normally called df118 but the effect only last's 4 to 6 hours, where tramadol is one of these new kind of painkillers diffrent effects l would say take the df's if the pain is bad and the other for more longer lasting effect. hope this has helped.
Thank you sengas, a longer lasting effect is what I need. It's to add to a cocktail that the pain clinic has me on, they told me to decide as to what side effects i want to put up with. I was on the Dihydrocodine and got tummy trouble but they said if I choose to go back on it I can take senocot. So I'm going to go with the Tramadol as I'v never had this one.
be a bit careful with tramadol..It can space you out and make you feel woooooonderful. Its not really a true addiction but quite hard to give up the feeling.
