Advice on skin blemish
12 Answers
Hi there. For the last 7-8 months I have had a bump in the centre of my back about the size of a penny that is red, slightly raised and constantly itchy. It's not dry or cracked and doesn't bleed but I am a bit worried about it as I did have a lot of sunbeds when I was younger. I have tried applying creams such as E45 and Sudocream but not regularly as it's hard to reach being about 2 inches below my shoulder blades. They haven't made any difference.
It's more annoying than anything but should I get it checked out?

My my mate who's a hairdressers noticed some funny looking mole on my neck, she told me to go to docs. He just said I must have scratched it and that why it was looking like that and all was ok, but he wasnt annoyed that I had wased his time and said he was glad I had it checked.
I have had a very similar type of bump on my back. I got it check out with the GP who referred me to a dermatologist. It was just a cyst but because it was inaccessible to me, he removed it quickly with no after effects. Oh, I also had a lot of sunbeds when I was younger as well.
