Do You Believe In Destiny And Soulmates?
35 Answers
Last night I met the most amazing woman I've ever met, she's older than me by 10 years but we just clicked and it felt like we knew each other our whole lives.
She said to me that she can feel that this was going to be the start of something beautiful as she believes in destiny.
This was a powerful moment that resonated in my brain for quite a while which I've never experienced before.
Did you know from the beginning when you met your partner that you would be spending the rest of your lives together?

Once I was explaining some notation to him and he said, smartly 'Jawohl, Herr Obergruppenfuhrer!'. Something happened, don't know what. Result is that we are married and I understand him and he me to a depth I could never have imagined. 'Soulmate' is not a word I'm used to, but we belong together and that's that. So the answer to your question must be 'Yes'.

I believe in soulmates, destiny, fate and love, but I wouldn't necessary put them all together. My soulmate is another woman and I love her, but not in a romantic way. I loved my husband, but he wasn't my soulmate. I do believe we are destined to meet whoever we meet in life and that fate often plays a part in this. I hope things work out well for you Broseph. x
I don't believe in destiny or that 'everything happens for a reason' but I do believe I found 'the one' and so far after a very long time together things are still great. I have no doubt in my mind that we are perfectly matched.
Saying that it took a lot of years for me to realise that this was it and we were in it for the long haul, but I put that down to my age as I was very young when we met.

Determinism seems probable to me, I suppose you could call that destiny, although not with pre intent.
Soul-mates is just a name given when you mind says you seem immediately comfortable in some other particular person's company. It's a fairly meaningless term aside from that.
I suspect most folk had a preference for a particular partner which didn't work out, prior to finding the one they mutually agreed to make a go of it with.
