Would You Date A Guy With Female Flatmate ?
26 Answers
Hi,
I have been dating a guy for 3 months. We had our ups and downs because of our issues, but we like each other.
His living situation has changed and he found a female flatmate. I am not being comfortable with that idea, because I am jealous of him sharing cooking, because I know he is looking for friendly person who will socialize so he can feel like home, not just being closed in the room...which i understand .
It is insecure, jealous if you want to. At the end of the day It may not be an issue at all, but I addressed to him that I am not very comfortable with current situation. He is still looking for one more flatmate, and we do not know yet if it will turn out to be a boy or a girl.
Would you be , if you are just being dating for 3 months ?
I guess if you have a properly established relationship, it may be more relaxed, or if there is a female flatmate from the beginning...But I wonder whether I do trust him or not. I know girls love him and he has lot of female friends, and I am not sure if this is where my concern is coming from or its me.
I appreciate your opinions...

But after all that happened, this new situation causes me worry. I trust him not cheat on me, but here and there he may feel like sharing a glass of wine, cooking with people...It was a place for us doing these things only together. They were intimate, ours...it wont be the case anymore and I fear, he will get cold again.
I know...I am not that worried about gender of the female, but that he will be just too busy with his new " friends " and "life". It is just a fear. Living in London, everyone lately is making notes about my english. Every day. Even he once mentioned that concern. I may be jealous that ...she may speak clearly, with wide dictionary...all these things that makes me feel insecure are coming up.
I live in a house with 4 more flatmates. We do not really talk to each other. I lost work recently and I am living on benefits. I will become self employed, but while I am home on my own every day, I am jealous...when he doesnt have time for me. It is not his fault, and I am trying no to complain...but it is a bit sad situation in general.

Perhaps you could try to make more friends so you're not as dependant on your boyfriend. Why not try to get closer to your flatmates? You could offer to cook everyone a meal one night. Just something cheap and easy like spag bol. Everyone loves to be cooked for, and you might all have fun and get to know each other better.
I wouldn't worry too much about BF's flat mate right now.
