How Can I Access The Folder Where The Windows Icons Offered In Windows Explorer Are?
when you click properties on a folder in windows explorer, it gives you options to change the icon for that folder. theres over a 100 option in that window
is there a way to add more icons to that specific folder?
I know there isnt an option via the function itself, but i want to add icons directly to the system folder that theyre in - how can i find it?
what would it be called?
thanks
:)

Icon files have the .ico file extension. Pixelformer is another free tool available for editing .ico files. https:/
thanks all
I discovered that when you go to the properties bit, to change the icon, there is an option to look in other folders on your computer, which i hadnt realised before.
so i can just use any icons packs etc.
but I just searched - .ico - in windows explorer & 1000s of icons appeared - i selected all & copied them to an ordinary folder, so i can use any of them for anything now
