a coworker of mine I happened to mention was "cute" seemed to show interest and then suddenly became distant, not as friendly at times and as if he were angry. I have no idea why and this person even goes to the deliberate lengths of being very talky to other peers and infront of me while, it gives me the idea he's trying to make me jealous and why is beyond me. I don't get his attitude and cant figure out why he's palying this game. any input?

try talking to him if you dont want to or it doesn't work out do the exact same thing he is. be really chatty in front of him but not to him and maybe give him an occasional look showing that your thinking about him. guys= frustrating ;)

Is he a 'lad' or a 'mans-man' because if he is then his idiot friends will have convinced him to 'play it cool' because he thinks it will make you want him more.

I'd take broadwaybabes advise to a certain degree, the modern dating world is full to the brim of stupid games and you are best off not being a part of that, if you like him, tell him directly on a one-to-one basis that you like him and that you dont want to play any stupid games.

That should make him just come out with his true feelings, if he still cant then he's emotionally retarded and your better off going out with a toilet brush.

Hmmm, the simple matter is he fancies you and he must have seen you talking to other guys and got real jealous. Be wary of this guy as he will be very controlling and will like to try to 'embarass' you when others are around. He is obviously very insecure and doesnt have any experience with women. When he found out you liked him, he must have got all excited and was hoping it was gonna be a full blown romance. I guess you must like him too, but maybe in a friendship, sort of way. The only thing you can do is ask him, but only when your on your own with him...
