Why is it that my Husband tells me he loves me just the way I am, and doesnt want me to get thin just in case I meet someone else and leave him. But will quiet happily gawk at anything over a D cup and under 25 and not expect me to get narked !!

Is this a normal "bloke" thing?

I think men are very visual creatures, therefore they often look at women, no matter what their size, height, or otherwise, they 'gawp' at other ladies cos they can! Some men can do this discreetly - and other men do it blatently, but no matter if the guy is married, happily in a relationship - it is perfectly natural for them to 'take in the sights' - how their partners handle it is another matter, us girls do it also - its nice to get a look at a neat package now and again, but acting on it is another matter entirely.

As a bloke, I'd say it's normal to look and to enjoy the scenery, especially now we have some really nice weather :-) But, enjoying the sights is just that. The reality is that I'd rather spent time with someone who has a brain, is close to my own age and who is good company that with any of the delectable ladies on sees when out and about.

That said, there is nothing to stop you doing the same, after all you're married not dead !

I do casually have a look I suppose but it seems so obvious when he does it - perhaps Im looking to hard at what he does!! and just noticing more (as Huderon says) because the weather is nice and everryones walking round with less on.

I wouldnt mind but he gets cross if another bloke looks at my frontage!

Wel i am wat u would class as havin breasts ova a d cup n im uder 25 but my bf still gawps at other girls wen im around and i dont like it.

Do u feel like he's doin it just to wind u up? as thats how i feel but i play him by his own game!! When u go to the pub together n he starts doin it, start starin at the nearest bloke u see. Even if he doesnt look back at u when ur husband clocks u doin it quickly look away. I no its not the best thing to do if u wanna get ur relationship back on track but ask him if he liked u starin at other men n wen he ses no just point out that its not nice. Maybe he'll stop but maybe he wont.

And if u want to loose weight GO FOR IT!!! dont let ur husband tell u what u can or cant look like do what ever makes u happy!! at the end of the day thats wat ur husband wants u to be!!! ISNT IT???????????

Some of us men aren't as discreet about watching the scenery as others, Black Noir :-) Certainly when I'm out with my wife I take care not to notice too much, but I don't think I ogle blatantly when she isn't with me anyway ! I'm more likely to have a look, smile at the lady and walk on, which isn't always easy if she has a fine "frontage". If I'm lucky, I'll get a smile in return, and that's enough to make the day a bit brighter.

Try being a bit more obvious about admiring the local hunks when you're with him, and if he complains, just point out that you're only doing what he does himself. What's sauce for the goos and all that :-) Then tell him that if he wants you to stop ogling the men, he's got to stop ogling the ladies ... or at any rate be a LOT more discreet about it. And don't forget to carry on doing your own bit of discreet ogling :-)

Since we have been together over the last 6-7 years I have tried so hard to be the man you want.
