I have been friends with a guy for about 2 years now and there is alot of us that hang out in a crowd together. lately i've noticed he seems to be paying more attention to me that others and complimenting what i'm wearing and my hair and finding excuses to come see me. there is another girl in our group that he siad he loved last year and she took it very badly and i think she broke his heart she was very pretty and fun to be with and i'm just the average but quite shy. i bumped into him in town the other day in town and he said he'd escort me to the busstop as i was going home he waited with me for ages cos we all know about bus times and we got talking and he said we would have to meet up sometime over the hols and have some fun. am i imagining he lieks me as more of a friend or is this just a man thing to do? please help!! thanks

It sounds to me that he does like you. However, make sure 'having some fun' isnt just a physical thing for him. If that is al he is after, it could make things very awkward in the future if you both hang out in a group.

A relationship? well that sounds good to me!! And there is nothing wrong with being shy. A lot of men like quiet thoughtful girls rather than loud and in their faces. Dont put yourself down - you are you and no one else!!

It all sounds a bit familiar to me to be honest. I found myself in a very similar situation this time last year and now that man and me are about to celebrate our one year anniversary and move in together in september!

I always think its good to take a chance, although 888sally888 is right, just check your definitions of 'fun'...

Like karieokie i was in the same situation last year and i ended up with the same fella for 10months! recently broken up but it really does sound like he likes you i mean yes find out what "fun" means but hey if it turns out its just gd clean fun go and have a good time! Just be carefull that if it does end up yis both like eachother think of how it would be if something were to go wrong because trust me if yis wanna stay friends and wanna stay with the same circle it is very awkward sometimes!
