How many people have actually met partners through dating?

Despite numerous dates with eligible men i still seem to get absolutely no-where. Although i find dating fun, i have now given up hope that i will actually meet a man through a date. To me i feel that it's much more likley that i will meet a man through work or mutual friends where we at least know each other a bit first in an unpressured environment (which, let's be honest, formal dinner and drinks dates aren't.) Just wondered how many people had actually got together with people that they had gone on dates with (i.e. someone they did not know prior to the date)

I have met most of my boyfriends through dating, Normally its after a guy takes my number in a pub, or a customer etc etc I have rarely dated a frined or a friend's friend. Im single now but have had some relationships from dating.

Most of my boyfriends have been friends of friends of friends (and so on a so forth) or work colleagues. However, I am single now so don't listen to my advice!! Hahahaha!

Hmmm, i joined a free dating site last week. I have only met 1 so far off it, but she was too clingy.
Have had other offers but not taken them up yet. Its quite good actually becuase you can chat to them first and get to know a little about them.
Most of the women where i live are pint guzzlers or ladettes so they are not my cup of tea.
I have been on dates with people i never knew but really i prefer to know something about them before i go on a date. I havent really had a partner through blind dating and i dont think i ever could...

I had a go at dating on the net, I got as far making a profile and putting a picture on the site but a few minutes later I deleted my account because Im a bit of a chicken and I got a bit worried that I wont get any replies at all, (cue violins)! and then I would feel even worse about being single.
