Hi there! Would be grateful for any suggestions on how to carry off a really cheap wedding.
Me and him indoors are planning to get married next year, but have an extremely limited budget. Not worried about convention, but want to have a do for friends and family to attend.
No suggestion too odd...

We then had a small family gathering the next weekend because we were forced to by family, so that didn't cost a whole lot either! However, it wasn't exactly a day to remember! Mind you I just remembered it!!!!!
We had to get married in a hurry ten years ago (no, I wasn't pregnant! My husband to be was being posted to Canada and he wanted me to go with him. We had to be married or I couldn't have gone!) Anyway. we got married at the Register Office (special licence because we didn't have time to do the Banns thing!) We went on to the local pub where the landlord did us a three course meal for 3.50 a head (we only had 25 guests) and he included a cake. Then we went to another pub for a drink (everyone paid for their own). I borrowed a dress and made my daughter's bridesmaid dress myself. The flowers were done by a friend. We used our own cars. All in it cost less than 300 and it was a great day! So it can be done.
