This will probably not help in the slightest until you do start a family, then you will get it.... but...

You will never find the right time as so many things come in to play, but when you do get pregnant and the little one comes along, all of a sudden, things just click into play. Somehow, money seems to stretch, you can live off little sleep and you develop a new sense of patience!

Honestly, me and my hubby didn't plan our first, so we didn't have to decide, but it all felt right when my son came along. Now, we just thought, lets go for it again...... so we are!

Having a baby was the making of me and my hubby - It's different for everyone, but this is my experience!
we thought there was a right time... we had a home, some savings, reliable jobs, and we were the right age (which can be anytime of course between, I'd say, 20 and 40)... a matter of reaching comfort levels before you're confident you could share them with a baby. But it wasn't that hard to decide.
The right time for you, as mum, is when you feel it is right - a combination of shrewd analysis combined with maternal instinct.

My middle daughter tells me she is waiting until she can 'afford' a baby.

I've told her i won't be holding my breath then!
hello. me and mr gaga fell pregnant v quickly by accident. we had just met up by pure chance again after 10 years as we used to work together.
when the positive result was confirmed we sat and sat...then we asked ourselves what else did we both have in our lives ? nothing..we had both experienced loss and greiving as family members had passed, this was a birth, a wee whole new person, who hadent asked to be conceived!!.
babygaga's nearly 2. and she's the best mistake we've ever made.
everything fell into place, when she came and had remained in place.
we have enough money to get by, some more would be nice! but that should never be a reason for not having a child.
This is a hard one.
I would never have known when the right time was, i was only 16 and 3 months old when i fell pregnant, which was never a time i thought at all that was the 'right time'. I stayed with my boyfriend we were childhood sweethearts and went on to have another 2 children and married was together for 14 years and we used to look back and say also that although our first was a mistake it was the right time as we made good parents and were happy. Although we were very young.
Now we are getting divorced and in hinesight it may have been the wrong time but we still lasted for 14 years, and i would never change having my chlild so young.

If i wanted everything perfect i would have wanted to get marreid first have a big house then start a family but who knows if i would have ever got to that point.

Summing it up i would say there is never a right a wrong time you just know in yourself.
Apparently if you take all things into consideration, eg career, saving, having time to travel etc, the perfect age to become a mother is 64!
