My neighbor.....

My neighbor, a strange man(he's about 60 yrs old), he's married to an even stranger woman (she looks like Sonia from Eastenders) ..... anyway, lately he's been trying to chat to me every time I'm walking about in my garden or sweeping the driveway and I think maybe he's trying to stray from his wife a little bit ..... anyway, whatever problems they are having, i dont want to lead him on as he's my neighbor and I dont want my other neighbours to start gossiping about me as that would be disgraceful and then I would have to move away.....
What should I do to show him that I just want to be friends and more importantly, just a very good and nice neighbour?

Aha! thanks for that red :o) I thought it strange that the neighbour didn't have a fat wife. And I have it on good authority that Sonia from eastenders is now a svelte size 8...lol.

Maybe he's just lonely. Can't you tell him about some of the local social groups which exist in your area. Maybe he'll then discover lots of other people to talk to.

well chat to him by all means and forget gossiping nabours else you will move 2 a week, if your that paranoid (or maybe are justified in your suspicions) then make sure you never cross into his garden etc theres nothing wrong with talking to a neihbour
