you may aswell throw away your 'perfect man' check list because when mr right wAlks through the door, he'll probably be the total opposite of what you expect.having a list eliminates lots of wonderful people. you could serioulsy be missing out!!

I think I would agree with the magazine article. I had a certain criteria for the type of man I wanted, he had to be this, he had to be that and I didn't want this and that.

I was opting for men who probably more fitted my physical requirements, rather than ideal emotional and charater traits. Then I unexpectedly met my current partner. I never dreamed I would ever be interested in someone like him, he certainly was not my physical type and many times I dismissed him as being a potential partner.

Anyway, I decided to set aside my preset rules and decided to give him a chance. I'm so glad I did, he is a wonderful, loving and caring partner, who treats me like a princess.

So I would say go ahead and light that match burn your checklist.
no such thing as a "perfect man" or woman, but there is a mr "right for you" he will have his faults but when you love someone they are insignificant really, you can live with them.

I think if you aspire to find "perfect" (jeez i hate that word) then you will always end up disappointed cause you will find out he isnt !

Velvetree, youre sooo lucky :)
i am really fussy when it comes to men, like u mention, he had to be this and he had to be that, and i didnt want this and that... no one is perfect, and there will always b one thing at fault.

one of my mate kept saying 'its because your standards r too high' but u cant just go for the first guy u meet can u? the person who mayb last in the queue could b the one, or mayb in the middle??? i dont know, but from as im aware is that i see no one's queuing for me....... but if i do meet someone even thu from my first instant hes not my type, i will defo give him a chance and get to know him and also im keepin my options open :) xxx
You just have to weigh up that person's positives against there negatives. Keep an open mind and take things slowly.

Once the looks have gone and the physical side dies down, which it inevitably does, you need to know you can also connect on a mental and emotional level. If you meet someone and you like that person as a person, then you may have something to build on.

Good luck, I'm sure you will meet the right person soon, tends to happen when you're not looking though.
