Sorry but Raggy Roman - how on earth do your comments help?
I agree she should stop dwelling but its bloomin hard when someone has (and I am surmising here) destroyed all your self esteem and sounds a little (if not a lot) violent.
Then having someone else tell you that you 'have a problem' REALLY makes you feel better.
If you don't know what she wants, then you can't help her so why respond?
Give the poor woman a break, some supportive words or the notion that all men aren't like that, tough love like pull yourself together, hes not worth it may be helpful but please try to be understanding!
And I'm interested to know, what is a typical woman? Hopefully her alcohol, violent, self-centred ex wasn't a 'typical man'.
