You want someone to die for you?????
No true love does not exist. It's all a myth to keep us on our toes. But I don't think anyone should lay down their life for someone else either. That's bad.......
:-(
Noone cos you're too needy
that's the kind of love you have for your children.

no...not to die ..i mean like real true love...i dont mean bout the giving part.ok..lemme rephrase it "TRULY CARES"!!
As a cynic I am however moved to say that true love does exist, it's knowing that it's being reciprocated, that's the trick.
If two people truly love each other then if one offered to lay down their life for them, then the other would'nt let them.
Isador and Ida Strauss truly loved each other right up to the very end.
Yes it exists. Been doing it for 20 years.
course it does! It makes life worth living. 0)
I believe that true love does NOT exist because you can't denote your life to another person with love, there's bound to be something obstructing the path.

People tend to believe that it exists to keep them going and to keep them happy, but I honestly don't believe it to exist.
Is that Kite Surfer and Drwho again?
Lov3shy et al:

Your inability to experience true love does not mean it doesn't exist. Without a doubt if you do not believe you will never find it.
There is a theory about love I read on Wikipedia once that it is a 3-faceted thing consisting of (1) passion, (2)commitment and (3)intimacy which I think is a very nice summary and one I agree with.

Passion & commitment without intimacy described as fatuous love
Passion & intimacy without commitment as romantic love, and
Commitment & intimacy without passion as companionship

Only the combination fo all 3 produces consummate love, and takes some time to achieve.

In my experience Number 3 has been the most difficult to find and maintain, but WOW, when you have all three it is a wonderful thing. So yes, Im a believer but I think its a rare thing.

I would lay down my life for my children without hesitation, but not for anybody else.
Beso, I'm not bothered by that because I believe in love, but true love in my case doesn't seem to correct.

I don't experience it because there are always problems; however I respect you opinion.
I don't believe true love exists because humans (which I hope we all are...) always want more. It's our nature and we can never change it so therefore we can never be happy in a relationship. It's sad because I so badly want there to be a true love but I've faced up to the facts and realized there isn't a true love after all; sad but true.

Unless anyone wants to prove me wrong.... ;)
i believe true love does exist, and you know when you have found it. I have certainly found it. I believe that it will come to you when you are truely ready and happy with yourself. May be your not ready yet? Maybe you think you are but only want a partner as you are so insecure with yourself? Once you are secure with yourself, you true love will come along. Trust me. x
