Feel like I'll never find anyone
5 Answers
Hi everyone,
Well, I've been having feelings for one of my friends for a few years now, on and off mind you, and I've certainly liked other guys between him, but now it turns out he's gay. Any chance I ever had has gone now.
We just have such a connection - we feel the same way about so many things, and I've never come across anyone that I feel that way with. I feel like I'll never find anyone else like him. He's still a good friend, but I feel like it's not enough because we're both moving very far away from each other.
I just keep feeling like I'll never find someone that I connect with so much and actually want to spend my life with. Is it too early to be worrying? I stopped worrying about it for ages but now it's coming back to me.

I spent 7 years alone, and then one day as cliche as it sounds i met someone and it just happened.
in the 7 years i was alone, i would travel all over the uk to parties/meet up with friends etc, and whilst i met many new people through doing this, some of whom are still very good friends with me, i never met anyone to connect with.
but then for some reason i met my current girlfriend (soon to be fiance) and we just clicked.
it is easy to get down when single, but my advice would be enjoy life and when the time is right it will happen.

Loosing a saoul mate is never easy - even if there is no chance of a physical relationship developing. In my experience, platonic relatioshipsa re often stronger and deeper because each person can be 'themselves' without sexual politics getgting in the way - it's a hell of a lot easier!
Don't despair, there will be someone there for you. Enjoy this relationship while you have it, and try and keep in contact if you can - but keep yourself open to new relationships of all kinds - nothing is ever wasted.

I feel that way about my boss. He says he doesn't feel that way for me but we get on so well. He ended his marriage just days ago but some people on here advised me to leave my job and get away from him. We have a connection and I think it's my age putting him off. If he met someone or said he was gay I'd have a reason to forget him. Now he's free I can't walk away. People tell me I'll meet someone lovefool, but it doesn't feel like it now.
