Finding Love When You Are older??

Is the love that you find when you have a relationship when you are older,different from when you were younger, i would say definetely yes, for me its a different kind of love!!

Hey puddi- well it's 2nd time round for both of us- we were in our 30's when we got together. I had to smile the other day- i remember him saying years ago that i would never get him in a cardigan and slippers, but guess what?, tee hee xx

I think its different because of course we are different, we are older, wiser, sader with more bagage.

I wanted to write that love a second time round is different because the human imperative to mate is gone, and therefore the love is based on a different need.

That need varies from person/couple to person/couple..........and talking only for myself, i dont need someone to financially support me ( i do that myself ) , i dont need someone to do the diy ( my dad does that ) but i need someone to share my life with but not to consume me and take away my independance.

Love is different cos its based on different needs thats all ...................

I think love changes as you get older. we have been married for 31 years and apart from a couple of hic cups when we nearly split up, we are really contented with each other.

Same here Puddicat, it's no longer about obsession, whether the man is goodlooking and all that rubbish. It's now mutual respect.

I couldn't keep up with wild days of my youth now so it's good the love has mellowed.

I love him for all the things he does for me just as much as the physical side and his looks.
