Being gay natural?
16 Answers
I'm not saying it's wrong to be gay but, if it is natural, how come you never see gay animals?
Or do they not realise they are gay and never find another?

No idea what your point is here. You seem to be defining "natural" as "found in nature" (ie in species other than man??). Your original question implies that homosexuality is "unnatural". Now that you see that it is not, your argument seems to switch over to "OK, but humans should 'know better' because of their increased brain power." Whether we're any brighter than dolphins or chimps is debatable, but we all come from the same evolutionary tree, so why should what is "natural" for many species be "unnatural" for humans?
Scientific studies have found that the sisters of gay men tend to have significantly more children on average than the sisters of heterosexual men.
While being a gay man certainly reduces their own reproduction, the overall reproduction of the family is increased.
The fact that homosexuality is also common in animals supports the suggestion that it has a substantial genetic component and would explain why homosexuality does not disappear from populations.
Pretty conclusive evidence that homosexuality is natural.
