hi, so i'm single about 6 weeks after a 10 yr relationship - but that's fine.
so i'm dating, now one of the 1st guys i've met and been seeing the past 3 or 4 weekends wants to go steady (lol sounds like i'm a teenager!)
I really, really like this guy, he's great and gorgeous and funny, and he seems really into me... but i haven't been on my own for so long everyone's saying i should enjoy my freedom. i haven't been seeing anyone else cuz i'd feel like i was being unfaithful, even tho we're not in a relationship yet, but to be honest i've been asked out by a few guys and would love to accept! Just to see.
so do i tell this guy i don't want to commit to anyone right now but maybe in a few months - and how do i tell him if i should - or do i take a big gamble on really hurting this guy and maybe myself by starting something more serious?
if the whole point of being single and dating is to find someone we really like, then would I be mad to consider letting this guy slip through my fingers?
thanks x

Only you can answer that.

Some people like being young, free and single. Others like to be in a relationship. You decide but just make sure you're always honest with the guy.
Why not just take each day as it comes and enjoy whatever at the minute!?

That is exactly what I am doing, and I am 2 & half weeks out of a 6 yer relationship, but with someone new. Just taking things as they come and seeing what happens really.

Only you know how you feel so ignore everyone telling you what you should & shouldnt do!
Only you can know if you are jumping into this relationship too soon or not

Only you can decide if your need is to be with someone who clearly likes you very much despite the fact you dont seem so sure ?? is enough

Are you keeping him on the hook, so to speak just in case none of the others come to fruition ?? something you appear to be hinting at as a motive, particularly as you are worried about hurting him......................................

if he is the one, then not being serious for a while wont stop the course of true love and will give you the breather you might possibly need to identify what you want and with whom ....................................

quite a dilema, good luck in your decision !!!
