And not taking you?

How many friends? What sex? Where?
Personally I would be over the moon.
Probably.

Would depend what old school friends. I would be pretty peeved if he picked a reunion over me. If it's his school friends that he's always stayed mated with then I'd just be peeved at the time of year.

I get peeved about things like that though. OH is off to Amsterdam soon...I don't like it because I want to go. It's not fair.....

Going to Bristol (we're in Oxford) to a see a friend who at Uni. There will probably be about 10 guys. And no, I'm most definitely not invited.
Absolutely not.

I don't like NYE anyway, so a chance to stop in and ignore it would be most welcome for me.

As far as the present Mrs Hughes being away - that happens all year round. She works as a Schools Inspector, so she spends an average one or two nights a week away during term term, so I'm used to that.

Most of them don't live far apart but they hardly ever make the effort to see each other and he told me this last night about 5 minutes after he told me a long planned saturday together this weekend would not happen now as he has agreed to work in a mates pub.
Probably considering the date and I'd want to spend new year with him... Other times not really.
Question Author
That's my point really. He has been away for weekends with mates quite a few times and I'm not bothered but I was just annoyed that he has chosen he would rather not spend new year with me.
Mmmm... new years eve would probably pee me off a bit - I'd just go out with my friends instead.

If it's just a load of fellow fellas, I'd not be too miffed. However, if it were mixed sex, old flames, the old Friends Reunited thingymyjig I'd be a bit wary.
LOL.......LOL.......LOL is this a set up?
I agree.

New Year is special ... you should be together.
Question Author
a set up Squad?
milly.....I have come to that conclusion of "set up" because it is beyond my imagination that ANYONE would fall for that one.

Sorry.
Question Author
I think I'm being a bit thick Squad.... fall for what?
// I don't like NYE anyway, so a chance to stop in and ignore it would be most welcome for me. //

I'm with you on that andy. My wife and I stop in and ignore it together. We might stay up to watch Jools Holland or we might be in bed by 10.30 depending on how tired we are.

On the question - no, not a problem as it's a long way away he can't exactly get a taxi back and as you've said they don't see each other often.
Question Author
That's only because they can't be bothered. I get the feeling the guys see this slightly differently to the girls.
milly my darling.......forget my posts and take heed of the others.
sqad - don't judge everyone by your own standards.
Question Author
