Should eggs be kept in a fridge, everyone seems to have differing views on this, I just want a definitive answer.

Yes, that's why most fridges have those special holders for eggs.
Well the supermarkets don't store them in fridges.

I buy 10 every week and don't keep 'em in the fridge. I find they're better to cook with if kept at room temperature.

I keep them in the fridge but take them out and let them get to room temperature when I want to fry, boil or poach them. I believe it prevents them breaking but I don't know if it's true.

I think you shouldn't, or take them out before you want to use them - but ours go in, otherwise the catz play football with them.

No - or at least if you do, remove them for a hour or so before cooking with them for best results.
