Do You Have A Type??
45 Answers
I keep goin for a similar type of girl and it hasnt been working, as I am now single, I am re-assessing what to look for in a partner. (Up to now, I have gone for girls who are attractive, brunette, independant, free spirited, enjoys variety in life, enjoys travel and not too self-absorbed). For one reason or another, perhaps it is me, we grow apart after several months.
My options, as I see them are:
1. Admit that there is no such thing as a "Type" and try somebody totally different and it may end up being a great decsion
2. Stick to what I am use to and hope that I find somebody who fits "my type"
3. Enjoy being single and try as many different types as I can :)

I find fairer haired men more attractive than very dark men and don't like skinny. I come from a family of fair haired men. Mr LL and master LL are both fair haired as were my Dad and my grandad. Fair hair and blue eyes nice.
My son and his partner look just like brother and sister. When we go out people think they are both my kids!!

The three men I've had significant relationships with in my life (two exes and the current man hostage) all look completely different. The current man hostage is most like my physical ideal, which is nice. However he's nothing like me, I'm very pale, with mousey hair, he is not. I don't find men of my own colouring attractive.
Three most significant...tall mousy, tanned muscular...Male, pale, silverhaired, boyish female, shorter rounder, older male... minor players have been tall ginger/blond male...v short grey male, average height dark hair blue eyes male, and curvy dark haired female.....I'm an equal opportunities girlfriend....Currently single and intend to stay that way as I cause too much havoc when I do relationships
I prefer tall men, but wouldn't rule out a short one.
Looks, as in pretty boy looks, don't particularly appeal - I like a ruggedness. And stubble.
I prefer dark haired men but have been out with blondes and balds.
In short - don't stick to a particular 'type'.
People wouldn't necessarily put myself and my BF together - personality wise we are poles apart. But we complement each other - I liven his life up, he calms me down.

You can never tell, one of my first bfs was ash blond and had the palest of blue eyes, he was utterly gorgeous, but in the end I married a dark haired man with dark blue eyes. In between I have been attracted to both fair haired and dark haired men, but the thing that most attracts me is a man with smiley eyes. A sense of humour, and an ability to listen to what you say, rather than rattle on about themselves all the time. You'll know when you meet her.
