Drinking a glass of water before each meal is supposed to help...not sure it does but if you don't mind water then perhaps trying that at least you'd know. Fibre helps too, porridge is a good thing to eat (I love it but it doesn't love me...sob), try the water first and perhaps don't have big meals, several small meals throughout the day is better than three large meals I think.
...oh forgot to say alcohol is an appetite stimulant so if you drink it will make you eat more...always a drawback isn't there!

Thanks classy lady!! I ate sooo much today, then halfway through i cant finish what im eating then two hrs later im bloody staaaarving!!

Tomorrow...new leaf...plenty water for a start....mmmm i do love porridge, i think i defeat the purpose by drowning it in milk though lol xxx

Ach....why isnt it easy lol x
Protein is the answer to feeling full. I stay fuller on 2 fried eggs on their own than on one egg on toast. Carbohydrates (bread, sugar, potatoes, pasta) are quickly stored by the body which is why you feel hungry again so soon.
Try a glass of Iced water before meals Tinkerbell...That's what I do...it really helps.Use small plate and eat slowly. Plan your meals for the whole day, don't shop when you are hungry and if you must have a snack..try some fruit. and keep the portions small.

I think drinking water throughout the day stops me feeling hungry and good for the skin and body generally, especially after a hangover. Also get some fresh air by going for a nice walk. I used to find that if we went out for a special slap up meal (not necessarily fattening) I used to feel more hungry after a few hours than if I hadnt been out. It must get your taste buds going or something.

I assume this is desired weight loss related even if just for the hols :-)

Soup can help produce a full feeling because the liquid can't just drain off as water can, but stays in the stomach for digestion.

Carbs tend to stay giving a full feeling too. I know many diets say to go easy on them, but I find not feeling an urge to eat is easily worth more than any small benefit avoiding them gives.

I suggest rather than eating more of one food type or less of another you try, if possible, to concentrate on portion control. Get used to smaller portions gradually and when you have lost weight you have a better chance of keeping to a senisble intake and keeping it off.
I have the opposite problem. I feel full up too quickly and it's horrible.
Stop eating crap...and stick with healthy proteins. Try to eat as naturally as possible-cut down on processed sugars, and carbs. Stick with lots of green veggies and berries-which have the lowest sugar content of fruits.

Again thanks.....water i will definately up that! Well old G, yeah not drastic weightloss but i feel i have a little pot belly im not wearing bigger clothes or anything but i want it gone lol xxx

Thanks guys xxxx
You should be eating regularly and if you eat proper food such as protein (meat or fish) and lots of vegetables/salad you will feel full.

Avoid all carbs and sugars - they make you fat! That includes fruit; an apple is equivalent to 3 spoons of sugar, a banana 6 spoons.

Processed foods (incl bread) bypass the body's natural ability to know when it's had enough.

Thanks zeuhl.... I had two boiled eggs, a yoghurt and two bottles of water that was about 1ish and i feel blinkin starving lol xx
Ah Tinker :-)
Today - typical menu....

b'fast: 2 eggs scrambled and 3 rashers of bacon
lunch: massive green salad with some cold roast beef
get home: large vodka and slimline tonic
dinner (will be): baked fish and large helpings of vegetables
supper: greek yoghurt 0% with a few blueberries lobbed in

I have shed 23 lbs in 5 weeks
Forget calories - forget fat - cut out carbs. And good luck xxx

Sounds tasty!! As much as id love too ..i dont like salad...ive tried balsamic on it ans sweet chillie sauce :0( nothing.....

So its reducing what i eat, trying to make better choices, and upping water and exercise!! Keep me posted on how ur doing....very very well sofar!! Xx
Try eating the odd oatcake to nibble on, this releases carbs slowly and will make you feel fuller.....stay off the potatoes, pasta, and limit your bread intake....
i would make a big pot of veg soup and leave the veg chunky, and you can have anytime as a snock, also sugarfree jelly is good,
start the day with porridge, chuck in some fruit.
a 'snack' is even better
