Do you think I'm anorexic?
26 Answers
Hello, I am 18 years old, mesure 174 cm and weigh 50 kilos. People close to me tell me I'm anorexic but to be so don't you have to weigh less that 40 kg? I realise this question is foolish and am deeply apologetic for that.
I'm pretty sure no one will awnser but if, somewhere, someone does, I would be truly grateful

Not that a simple number can fully describe how fat/thin/under/overweight someone is – but the WHO (World Health Organisation) reckon a BMI under 18.5 is a sign of malnutrition. I would be concerned that with such a low BMI, should you suffer an illness resulting in possible further weight loss, you could find recovery more problematic that would have otherwise been.
I would agree with everything Pinkilady says – ignore her advice at your peril.

Hi Zep.
Throw away the packets so you cannot divide into smaller portions. Try cooking for yourself from scratch. Try something ridiculous for breakfast. Do not think that certain things can only be eaten at defined times of day, To start go for the tastes you like, sweet, sour, savoury, salty, creamy. The colours you like. Pink shrimp. Red beetroot. Green peas. White rice. Get the idea? The textures you prefer. Liquid, soft, crunchy, hard.
Eat a teaspoonful of something. Then perhaps a teaspoonful of something else.
It may be that you feel that the only area of control over your life is whether or not you choose to eat .
Find someone to talk to about this. Yes, you have a problem. No, it is not insuperable.
Keep in touch. Best Wishes.

i had an anorexic mate. she didnt think she was. she was like a skeleton & she thought she was fat and called herself fat oten & went to the gym. everyone who seen her by looking at her knew she was anorexic. She would go to her car to 'eat' her lunch. whenever we did shee her eat it was only lettuce or dried corn flakes. he cheeks were withdrawn, she didnt have periods and had osteorphorosis. She was that bad she spent a lot of her younger years admitted into hospital. your eating habbits dont sound normal if i am honest. seek professonal opinions as if ignored this may get worse!
