Im 13 years old and overweight, im looking to find a way of losing weight which isnt too difficult Im looking for some suggestions on recipes which taste good, and excersizes that are fun to do which are quite effective. Im quite mind set on losing this weight as i feel my confidence will get boosted if i lose some weight! Im quite and active person as i play netball for school, outside school and for my district!

You need to put this in Body and Soul (this is for suggestion about the site, etc).
maybe just change little things, you do PE at school already so thats good, maybe walk to school and cut down on junk food and food that is pre-made. at weekends do some sport that you enjoy or take up something fun like roller blading.
Just be careful, there is a hell of a lot of really aggressive and underhand pressure on young folks through fashion magazines etc to look slim.
So long as you are getting plenty of fruit and veg and not too much fatty stuff (chocolate, Muckdonalds etc) and a decent amount of aerobic excercise (running/cycling/swimming) you should be ok. Also, and probably most importantly, stick close to friends who like you because of who you are and not how you look.
at 13 i am presuming that your parents do the cooking of mains meals or at least decide and pay for the ingredients. Could you maybe chat to them about meal plans and what could be a healthy and balanced diet

Hiya Ellie.
At the risk of appearing patronising you sound like a well-adjusted and sensible teenager. Your body is now and will continue to change quite a bit until you're about 20-21 so although you may think you have a 'problem' I wouldn't let it overtake you.
Certainly keep an eye on your weight, as you would any other health issue but so long as you don't have other health problems, live an as active a life as possible and eat sensibly I don't think there's much else you need do.
That is apart from ignoring today's trend of appearing only in 2D and disappearing when alongside someone.
Perhaps a chat with your GP would regenerate your self-confidence.
Agree with Lew Paper completely.

Also bear in mind that we all come in different shapes and sizes. You may not be a naturally slender person. There is too much pressure on young people to be slim and willowy. Just eat sensibly, make sure your portion size is not too big and sit down to eat and eat slowly. Keep up your exercise (well done for the netball)

13 is a difficult age - not one thing or another - and I know how you feel. At 13 I was desparately skinny and hated it!
Get a trampoline. It is huge fun and uses up massive amounts of energy/calories
The best way to loose weight for a 13 year old is to do aerobics and eat less oily food. Rest you have to do nothing..but be regular with your aerobics work out. That will help you loose weight.
What is your typical daily diet? How often are you "active"? Are your parents/parent/guardian/ overweight?
Just to give us an idea - how tall are you, and how much do you weigh?
