Onwards and Downwards Continues

With the start of autumn comes the craving for hearty food and winter warmers, while summer salads are out of favour.

How are you going to fulfill your need for warming food while keeping within "budget"?

It always feels like it's downhill weight-wise from now until Christmas, it's all a matter of how fast you're sliding!
Yes Rowanwitch I am going to start doing my homemade soups.
Califlower and brocelli homemade soup is good but I still have salads
I believe I may have discovered why they might have chosen not to put nutritional information on a tin of Spam. :-(

But as usual, when I "overeat" one day, the scales say I weight less the next, and vice versa ?!?!?
I'm going to try to avoid bread for a while and see what happens. It helped me before.
Bread is my downfall. I use the W.W. bread for toast in the morning.and I use that crispy french toasts with salad. Stopped doing it in Asda found it in Tesco.
I've converted to wraps instead of bread - they seem to do me less damage.
O_G - yes, I have noticed that too, but the massive curry I shared over the weekend didn't have that effect (unfortunately!).
Just to clarify things, I use the soups, as I do salads as a part of my meal. Please don't anybody think I use them solely. Onwards and downwards.....and give me will power because I'm going out for lunch......
Soup is the way forward and my daughter introduced me to slices of frozen garlic bread so you can keep the calories down by only using the number of slices you should eat and not gobbling down the whole loaf so that you dont waste it !
1⅛ lbs down over the week, but 1⅞ lbs up over the last 2 days.

It's seems to be just taunting me, gets within a smidgen of changing the stone figure, then jumps back up again. I think this is why I eventually threw in the towel last time I tried to lose weight.
My weight is boring at the moment....still the same. From the weekend we are in Spain for the next few months so hope swimming every day will help move some of the fat....onwards and downwards
Xstitcher you and me both.I am now really getting bored staying the same. So it's all out this week and a few weeks for a good loss of Onward and DOWNWARDS. Grandson back at school so no excuse as he is not here so often.
half a stone in three weeks, not bad, so i was told... just eat less seems to be the answer.
well done Em10 that's a nice steady loss.
another 1lb for me this week, thought I might have hit the 2 stone loss this week, but still ½lb to go. Onwards and downwards everyone :)
Ashamed to say I haven't weighed myself since the beginning of April as that was at the hospital and I had got too heavy for my scales at home. Knew I had lost weight since my husband died at the beginning of July so finally got around to ordering some new scales which arrived this morning. Although it turns out I have lost 1 st 13 lb since April that hasn't been through healthy eating, more through not eating at all! New diet therefore starting today and must start eating better so got all my Slimmming World books out and going to plan some menus. Healthier eating starts today and can now weigh myself weekly!
Hello Jan I did read about your sad loss.I hope you are getting on ok. It just needs something in our lives to upset our normal way of life. Hang in there we are all with you .Take care and look forward to hearing from you with a loss for next week. Just give yourself small targets.
