If it were the case, people would be doing it in droves. Doubtless these capsules are on the pricey side, and available online.......
This is what iv`e read, i will try anything to lose weight lol, and available at Holland and Barrett
Unroasted coffee beans are the fast-track to weight loss, say researchers

If you want to lose weight quickly, start swallowing unroasted ‘green’ coffee bean capsules. Judging by the results of others who have done it, you could lose around 10 per cent of your current body weight in a little more than three months.
Sixteen overweight or obese people – aged between 22 and 26 - took a capsule a day for 22 weeks. But for a third of that time, they were either taking a low-dose capsule of 700 mg of the coffee extract, or were taking a placebo, or ‘dummy’ capsule. The optimum amount was capsules of 1050 mg taken daily.
Those who take a higher dose capsule every day should expect to lose around 10 per cent of their body weight, say researchers from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania.
The participants in the trial lost an average of 17 pounds (7.7 kilos), but this included taking a placebo and a lower-dose capsule as well. The participants didn’t change their lifestyle, diet or exercise levels in any way during the study period.
Chlorogenic acid is the key weight-losing ingredient in unroasted coffee, say researchers, which is lost when the beans are roasted.
The one disadvantage is the flavour: green coffee beans have none of the lovely aroma of coffee and they have a slightly bitter taste.

'Trying anything to lose weight' is never going to work, because it means you will try totally unproven methods-like this. 17 people does not make a proper, long term study.
You'd be better off doing a low carb diet-it will require giving up processed junk, but will be better for you in the long run....and there is more and more research to back it up.

Late as usual with my comment, but ... please, don't waste your money on these capsules. You'd be much better off trying what Pastafreak says. Low carb is the only sure way to lose weight without starving (which is very hard to stick to). Sorry to say you're wrong Deggers316, but you're wrong! As a long term dieter who finally lost weight (and kept it off) by adopting a low carb diet, I just can't agree with your advice. If "eat less and exercise more" actually worked, I don't think we'd be facing an epidemic of obesity today. For a general overview of the science behind low carb and advice on what to eat, go to http://www.dietdoctor.com/lchf Good luck!

Sorry...just saw your question. I used to eat a lot of pasta...but don't touch it anymore since changing the way I eat,and drastically reducing carbs. That's how *I* lost weight...;-))
