Onwards and Downwards Continues in April
Sorry we are a bit late this month busy, busy, busy!
I have noticed quite a few new members over the last couple of months so welcome to you all and we are glad to have you here to help and be helped:
JimJools, maggibee, notafish, daffy654, lillymoon, jules001, spotit3 and maidup
if I have missed anyone I apologise.
As the days are getting longer and warmer does anyone find it a bit easier to be good and eat more fruit and veg and not pile up on the stodgy food that is so tempting in the winter months?

Mother may I go out to swim
Yes my darling daughter,
Hang your clothes on a hickory limb
But don't go near the water.....
So Happy Easter to everyone but don't go near the Easter eggs lol..

Yes, well done for resisting wendilla. I HAVE been really good over the weekend. That was the only choc I had and I gave the flakes to children coming into our Dining Room at the weekend as Id organised an easter bunny trail which of course led them to the dining room ( sales in the till, he he ) so I had to give them a prize. I had a little basket of very mini eggs, so I put the flakes in as well and they had all gone by the end of the day ( And not by me ) I just hope the scales will show my reward
Good luck everyone else too ..........

Good for you TOH I too done a trail of eggs round the house but my eldest G/son didn't come back from his school ski trip till late so the eggs are still in hiding . It is not the eggs I would be worried about tomorrow it is the recipe of the hotcross bun pudding that I made on Sunday. If I hadn't watched it on the tv would never have thoiught about doing it. It was to die for.
Good luck for tomorrow.
Good luck for tomorrow.
I swear that the way my body works must be really weird. Well maybe it's more than that, I'm beginning to think that this apparently rational cause & effect universe is an illusion; an arrogance that reality actually sticks to laws we can understand.
I've been away from home for about a fortnight and so barely able to keep track of what I consume, and no ability to jump on the scales; but I know I have been consistently overeating/drinking, sometimes to the ‘tune’ of as much as ⅔ target intake. So with more than a little trepidation I got on the scales this morning.
Apparently I’ve lost ⅝ lbs !?!
If the amount I’ve been having to eat/drink was that needed to lose weight I’d never have reached the weight I am (or recently have been) ! I’m getting convinced there are no rules: God just wakes up in the morning and decides how things are going to be next. “Hmm shall we have things go on much as yesterday today ? No; today I think we’ll have a purple and green gingham patterned sky for a change. Oh and Old_Geezer can go up 3½ stone overnight, just as my little joke.”
Well either that or too much real coffee is an undiscovered diet secret. Maybe we all need to get some stocks in before the panic buying starts.

I believe I made a casual mention in the March thread I'd not be around for a weigh-in (or two). Seems strange to be back at the desk ploughing through a pile of e-mails. And loads of stuff I am just shrinking from tackling as they are more changes I could do without at my ancient time of life. Also not going to be easy returning to the intake counted diet again after the freedom of eating what the others do. Still, just got to be firm with myself.

Never been missed so much before by everyone :-D
I'm aware that they more precise than most, but apparently can't be that accurate given the variation in the readings. But they are not a priority purchase, I just trust that long term they do show the trend even if it makes a mockery of weekly comparisons. And they give me something to winge about here.
Hot water eh ? I recommend an 8 oz dust ball. Marjorie Dawes put me onto that one.

Hi all and thanks for the lovely words of encouragement back there <<<<
Not been doing very well actually, but yesterday was an all time low. Went shopping and had a scone with clotted cream and jam and thai green curry!!! However, on the up side went back to work today and started a Slim Fast shake diet which I'm going to do for 2 to 3 weeks to kick start me off again then I'll go back to healthy eating and walking home every night :o)
