is there anyway you can loose a few pounds in a matter of weeks? if so what foods should i aviod?

Why do people say "loose" when they mean "lose"?

This is a common spelling mistake.

Any diet should see you losing two pounds max a week, just by eating less and exercising more.
To lose a few pounds (and make you clothes feel loose) I agree with boxtops. The best things to cut out are probably beer/wine, bread and chips/potatoes and pizza If you have a lot of milky coffees stop those too. Eat more fruit and veg and less starchy food.
Exercise will help but on its own won't make a noticeable difference over a few weeks
A few pounds in a few weeks should be no problem if you make an honest effort. At the start you tend to lose water weight fairly easily anyway. Avoid high calorie, high fat foods is my advice. And don't just guess you're eating fewer calories, note and count.

Smaller portions help too, as well as stopping the snacking altogether.

I've personally found that getting smaller dinner plates really helped in that regard- honest!
Healthy snacks are good. A piece of fruit. A few nuts. Protein shake. It is important not to become starving. Because then you tend to grab the first thing that comes to hand and that can often be bread a chocolate bar etc. and you feel miserable and less likely to carry on.

Last year me and my daughter went on a five day boot camp. Ate less excercised a lot and all lost more than seven pounds. If you have the time it is a good thing to do if only to realize this is all I takes. I have not regained what I lost.
I started the harcombe diet 8/4/12 an have lost 8lbs so far just by eating right. It's most probably water though haha x

I think the dukan diet my pal lost about 7lb in 5 days.

Dukan is too strict and restrictive.
I dont even think it was the full dukan- i think theres a site..

All she ate was meat. Protein. You can eat as much lean meat as u want so she just ate packets of chicken and ham etc

At a push u can have one fat free yoghurt ... :0/

Dosent seem as bad as i thought actually
Dukan's a low carb diet...but they only work if you up fat intake-ie-butter,olive oil....good fats-along with dairy,etc. Not low fat foods which often have a lot of un-pronounceable ingredients,salt,and hidden sugars.
It also allows one day per week to eat 'anything'....which can just trigger binges.
