Does anyone else start their day with hot water and lemon? I was recommended this by my doctor and have been drinking it for about 10 days now instead of coffee and have been amazed that I have lost weight and feel great!!!!!
no citrus can burn fat although having something very sharp can suppress the need for sweet things for a while getting you through the high risk sweeter breakfast options. as it takes a while to drink it may also start to trigger the appetite control cells in your brain making it register something eaten rather than something to drink making you less hungry.
there is some suggestion that ginger may have a slight metabolic stimulus effect but nothing convincing science wise yet...what there is seems to be a side note from the investigations into its anti inflammatory potential. Ginger tea with lemon is nice any time though
I can't believe I have now gone two weeks without coffee and much prefer my lemon and hot water! My heart has stopped racing and BP has lowered and have lost 7lb which I presume was just excess water but the lemon water has flushed out my system and I feel fantastic
I started Slimming World on Thursday and thought I would give the old lemon and hot water a go. Weigh in isn't till this thursday but I have certainly cut down on my coffee intake. So fingers crossed it works for me.

It sounds amazing!So you just drink a cup of hot water with a slice of lemon every morning and you loose weight? Sorry for repeating it, but I want do get sure I got it right, cause I want to try it!
Let's all have a month on lemon and hot water and report back. I'd so love it if it worked for me weight wise.
