Can someone explain please? I've been dieting around 4 weeks, and I've lost about a stone however, my weight 'loss' seems to have stabilised (I'd like to lose a couple more stone), but my clothes are way looser and someone said inches not weight, but I've not heard of this and understand it even less!
I'm ashamed to say no, I haven't been excersising - I'm nearly 43 with a dodgy knee & various other joints, so I tend to stay still as long as poss! One thing I have been doing is moving around a lot more; I got in the habit of staying as still as possible, and try and get everyone to bring things to me, but now I've persuaded myself to make my own coffee etc.,!

Sounds like a bad idea to me. Everyone's body is full of dodgy joints, you can help support joints with improved muscle strength. Try a bit of cycling (cycle for your cup of coffee instead of calling the help maybe!) or get to the gym and do a few weights or yoga. All good for keeping yourself fit and able when you're 86!
I have promised myself this year will not be like last; I was lazy, overweight, became ill among loads of other things that made me unhappy! But I have to admit to hating the cold & dark! So now the lighter nights are coming & the weather's turning, I said to my daughter we must get out more this year. We live in a gorgeous place that is surrounded by beaches and countryside so I'm going to make the most of it this year!
I was told recently that it takes a burn of 5000 calories to shift one pound of weight, I'm assuming that's if you eat the same. I found a good way to loose a few pounds without any fad diets, I just eat smaller portions and try to cut down on the grape juice! As my granny used to say "all things in moderation".
