Exercise And 'feeling Good'...

I went to the gym today, as much as I didn't want to.
I used to be quite fit, but since getting back with the OH things have kind of gone outta the window, and he encourages me to 'do nothing'.
Anyway, I've been on a healthy eating/exercise regime for the past two weeks and have lost a grand total of 9lbs. Not starving myself, just sensibly eating.
So anyway, I went to the gym today, the first time since my induction a few weeks ago, and it nearly killed me! I honestly thought I was going to have a heart attack. I could literally see my heart thumping through my chest, and then felt sick.
Once I'd got home, I had this rush of 'coldness', like goosebumps all over my arms. Is this normal?

I was seriously unfit (although not overweight). The walking is OK but sometimes I've tried to jog 40 yards, then I also feel as though I'm going to have a heart attack and by the time I'm home I have a sparkly thing going on in the corner of one eye, feel drugged and just blob on the sofa! I then worry I've overdone it but I am still here. I think I'm just in tune with my nerves ;-) Maybe you are too.
My theory is you have to ease yourself back into exercise. Some of these gym instructors think they have to kill you on the first session. Doesn't work for me I have to build up strength and fitness. If you enjoy fitness and doing things don't let anyone encourage to do nothing just because that is their way of life.
